Prior to joining RDA, Booms was used for pig hunting, and in her time here has become an incredibly reliable therapy horse who works in all our three core programmes, as well as having learned specific skills with her able-bodied rider to make her the ideal mount for our para riders to ride independently at walk and trot. In 2017 she won the NZRDA Horse of the Year, a title she very much deserved.
